Bible Study
There are many Bible Study department and class options for seniors. Our leaders are highly qualified and experienced. We major on strong Biblical teaching and building relationships. We want our guests to become a part of our family. We invite our senior guests to visit more than one department and attend where they feel most comfortable.

Twice monthly at noon our adults with seniority gather for a Brown Bag Bible Study.  Each study is independent and led by a different person from our congregation.  Members bring their own lunch and drinks are provided.  Please check the church calendar for the next Brown Bag Bible Study.

Jolly Friends
Jolly Friends meets in the church fellowship hall monthly at 6:00 PM on the second Monday; in January and February we meet at noon to give those who don’t drive at night an opportunity to join us.  Most of the time our monthly meeting includes a meal prepared by our church dietician with either an informative or entertaining program presented to our group.  Each week the group shares prayer requests and has a time of devotion usually presented by one of our members.

Trips and Outings
Our senior adults enjoy getting together and going places and we try to do some trip once a month.  Sometimes we just go to a restaurant together and enjoy lunch or dinner.  It might be to a play or show….then sometimes it’s a tour.  We’ve also gone to see the Atlanta Braves, Callaway Gardens, and the Holy Land Experience. Baptist Village Ministry
Baptist Village Retirement Communities, owned an operated by the Georgia Baptist Convention, provides lots of opportunities for ministry by our congregation as well as living accommodations for many of our church members.  First Baptist Church provides bus service to the Village for many church activities.  The staff also leads residents in a Lord’s Supper service quarterly in the Jones and Assisted Living Centers.  On holidays, residents are provided with treats and prayer cards on their meal time trays and on Valentine’s Day, members of First Baptist Church celebrate with the residents.
